About this study day

This study day aims to provide nurses and allied health professionals with practical strategies to help them initiate and sustain difficult conversations with patients and their families in practice settings. The teaching will include formal sessions and workshops, addressing topics such as: breaking bad news; dealing with difficult questions; coping with patients and relatives’ responses. Students’ own support needs and emotional responses to difficult conversations will be addressed, to help practitioners to feel confident to engage in this area of practice.

Please note that if you are interested in attending this day, you must ensure that you register your place, otherwise study days could mistakenly be cancelled.
