About this study day

This day is aimed at post qualified practitioners who are developing their expertise expanding their roles.

The study day will consider the introduction to the principles of health and physical assessment. It will include the concepts of the consultation process including therapeutic communication and discussion of consultation models. History taking of the presenting complaint including undertaking history taking scenario’s. Health assessment tools and techniques will be evaluated to assist the student in how to undertake a thorough consultation. Demonstration of a respiratory assessment will also be included to incorporate most of the techniques discussed above.
