About this study day

This study day is suitable for practitioners working in primary care who wish to develop the knowledge and skills to care for patients requiring ear irrigation.

The study day will include:

  • Basic anatomy of the ear canal and related structures
  • The legal aspects of ear care and risk management
  • The correct use of the otoscope
  • Safe technique for removal of wax from the ear

The day will consist of presentation, discussion, case studies and practical sessions.
