Teaching and learning
The course team aims to provide a challenging and motivating learning experience and therefore a variety of teaching methods will be employed depending on the subject matter being taught. Lectures will introduce you to major topics; group work, seminars, presentations and debates will require you to explore and critically analyse particular aspects of module content
The opportunity to explore all avenues of learning will be encouraged and developed as appropriate to your need. Building on your existing knowledge and integrating learning from different professional disciplines you will be encouraged to develop and inform your own problem solving and reasoning skills. Communication skills and team building skills can be developed through group work utilised in addressing set cases.
The mode of assessment is chosen to ensure that all the learning outcomes identified for each module are fully tested. The assessment strategy is in two parts, presentation and assignment. This arrangement will allow you to demonstrate not only new knowledge, but also your ability to analyse and demonstrate how you would apply your learning to influence practice directly.
