Overview
Please note that Bucks is working with a limited number of key partners for recruitment to and the provision of placements for this course. If you would like further information about this arrangement, please contact us.
This programme provides a two year route to the completion of BSc (Hons) Nursing and Healthcare (Top-up Degree). It also contains the option to complete the Overseas Nursing Programme (ONP) to gain UK Nursing Registration at no extra cost (if additional requirements are met).
Clinical practice
The placement within the BSc (Hons) Nursing and Healthcare will account for 50 per cent of the programme. The placement will provide opportunities for the students to apply theory to practice and vice versa. The University will provide the placement.
You will be supported by a Placement Link Lecturer who will develop and maintain clear lines of communication between the academic and placement settings. They will have an overall view of the student experience and can support staff and students in the work environment.
Entry requirements
For all students applying to the programme, the minimum entry requirements are:
- To hold a recognised and approved minimum of Diploma of General Nursing and Midwifery award certificate from your home country (equivalent to UK NQF Level 4 or 5).
- To be qualified and registered with the appropriate home country Nursing council.
- To provide evidence of clinical nursing experience (at least one year) and be currently working in an area of adult nursing.
- To provide evidence of successful achievement of a score of 6.5 or more in the IELTS academic assessment (within the last 2 years).
